How to read the Belize market
Belize does not have a centralised multiple listing service or a comprehensive public record of transaction prices comparable to those in North America or Europe. Asking prices are widely visible; realised sale prices generally are not.
The practical effect is that valuation depends on judgement, local knowledge and direct comparison rather than on published indices. Buyers should treat any headline claim about appreciation or yield with care, ask what evidence supports it, and seek corroboration from more than one independent source.
